Our Patagonia itinerary is a combination of riding, awe-inspiring scenery, fishing, culture and wildlife. Our local host has created an itinerary that takes us to the picturesque town of Bariloche, and then on to Nahuel Huapi National Park where we'll spend a full week riding and packing in the mountains surrounding Lago Nahuel Huapi. Airfares and Scheduling: 1. There are flights on several airlines (United, American, Aerolineas Argentinas, Lan Chile) departing from Miami, Los Angeles or New York that arrive in Buenos Aires early the following day. 2. Our flight to Bariloche leaves from the municipal (not the international airport) in the early afternoon on December 2. Please call us for exact flight times. NOTE: Your air arrangements must allow at least three hours for transferring from the international airport to the municipal airport because of traffic concerns. 3. The return flight to Buenos Aires from Bariloche will arrive mid day giving ample time to make connections for return flights home. Included in the trip fee: Roundtrip flight (Buenos Aires/Bariloche/Buenos Aires). Meals, beginning with lunch on December 2 through breakfast on December 12. All land transportation and hotel in Bariloche, camping tents and supplies, horses and tack, guides. Not included in trip fee: Roundtrip airfare to/from Buenos Aires, airport taxes, meals taken on your own. Trip Fee: For 4-8 passengers $3625.00 USD Passport and visas: A current passport is required. US citizens do not need a visa. About the riding conditions: We will be riding Criollo horses. The saddles will be either English or Chilean (rather like a McClellan saddle with a sheepskin thrown over). Riders need to have a good basic riding background. You can expect long (beautiful) days in the saddle with river crossings, trail rides through forests and around alpine lakes, rugged climbs on narrow trails, meadows and wide open spaces. |
